If I have money left over in my scouting budget, can I use it for recruiting when the recruiting window opens? Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, no. There are separate budgets-one for scouting and one for recruiting. Once recruiting starts you can continue to scout players if you have money left in your scouting budget, and that's both in the first and second recruiting sessions.

Saving some is often a good idea. It’s how you have access to transfers (who don’t contact you), and it can also be used at lower levels on the last couple days of recruiting to see a more broad area after D1 has picked through (for example, this is how it can *sometimes* work to scout D1 internationals from D2 or D3 - after most of the top 100 has signed).

yeah i usually try to save 3-5k depending on my prospect board.
