I'm at Moderate. The AI DII team just showed up as Very Low. We're in Phase I and player wants to sign late. Any way to prevent the AI DII team from bumping me on this one? I know I could lose him anyways as we'll have to wait, but surely there's a way to fend off the AI?

If Sims (it doesn't matter at what level) show up Very Low, you're safe. Sims will usually populate most recruit lists late in the process, and a VL Sim isn't "trying."

If you have a scholarship in, you likely don’t have anything to worry about. If you have been the only one on the recruit, and have something like 50 AP, no scholarship unlocked yet, and have dropped attention down below 5, I would recommend bumping up enough to offer a scholarship on the next cycle, and then offer it. That should keep them at very low, and off his trail; though if the player is good enough to possibly attract attention from D2 humans, you may want to keep the AP up above 10/cycle to make sure you accumulate enough to hold them back with a cycle or two of big attention.

Then you should be good to go. Just keep an eye out for other coaches to hop on.
