No, the guy playing out of position will often be much better than a bad fielder

Can someone explain The catcher Defense.

I understand the throwing arm rating has to do with stolen bases.

The Fielding rating seems to be related to errors . But is it also related to passed balls and Wild pitches ?

But what is the Range rating related to?

Also do any of these Ratings have to do with making the pitchers ratings better or worse?

ALSO when it comes to plying guys out of position, is there a chart somewhere that helps to see the penalty for moving a guy out of position?

I am still digging for the catcher info. I don't think range is a factor.
