I’ve had this idea for a long time and I’m pretty sure I’ve even suggested it to the website developers previously to no avail. But, I think we should have more pro dynasty options available, other than just hardball dynasty. My idea would be to have a pro basketball option, create the same worlds as the current hoops dynasty worlds and instead of their being a “fake draft” every season, those players go into a pool for the pro basketball dynasties and they can draft the players from hoops dynasty. Maybe it’s just me but how cool would it be to see your players continue their career and you can follow them as professionals or even draft your own players.

Maybe if we can create enough interest this could be something they look into.

Agreed. I've submitted a ticket about this before. They just simply don't have the time to create it.

Hoops dynasty runs on a tight schedule every season, it'd be hard to imagine they can fit a whole NBA season in without making the college season substantially longer. I would love to see this happen, but theoretically they would have to run ~3 NBA games per college game.

I thought about this too, obviously the college season would go quicker, so I was thinking potentially having 2 or 3 seasons worth of players be collected into a data pool for the NBA teams to draft from and/or sign as undrafted free agents; I realize having players drafted have a small affect on teams prestige so maybe that's delayed some, or maybe you get the same prestige bump from your player being allowed to enter the "player pool", I just think it would be cool to see, albeit most likely never happen.

Even if HD wouldn't be connected to the NBA game, I'd still like to see NBA and NFL dynasties. They already have Hardball and since there are less players/teams of players and theres already HD in place, I couldn't imagine an NBA game would be that hard to make.

They'd have to revamp the ratings system for an NBA dynasty. If you condensed the HD players into 32 teams, with guys playing for 10+ years every team would look exactly the same. I actually wish they would do this in HD so players would standout from each other more.

Tanking could be a huge problem in NBA. It already is in HBD with 25 man rosters and a prospect taking 5 seasons to make the majors. 12 man roster where guys play right away would be much worse.

That said, sign me the f up for both NBA and NFL. The depth and strategy in HBD is 3 levels above HD. Drafting, trades, free agency vs. recruiting and crossing your fingers. An NFL draft would be amazing.

It's too bad whatif is basically dead and they're content to just collect our money.

I think that would be awesome. Poncho brought it up years ago but nothing Evers happened. Nothing new has appeared since Hardball Dynasty. Here’s to hoping!

You could just do a shorter season than traditional NBA. A 30 game season would be big enough to give meat to the season and short enough to still include a playoff (shorter series). This might not work for purist but since it's all sim/fantasy anyways could work.
