I've noticed that the SIM does not seem to handle the concept of double switching and pinch hitting for pitchers well for a while but it's reached the point where I don't think I want to continue playing an NL team until there's a change. 4 games in to the start of a new season and the SIM has allowed a RP to hit in 3 of the games. This is in spite of having both the Pinch Hitting and Double Switch settings at Very Aggressive. I also have 5 bench players with all of the pinch hitting and defensive replacements filled out.
Here's a box score where even the least aggressive setting should use a double switch:

A pitching change is made in the bottom of the 8th inning with two outs. The SIM brings in the closer so we'd obviously want him to stay in the game to pitch the 9th as well. The pitcher's spot is due up 2nd in the top of the 9th and the two furthest spots away in the batting order are 1B and 2B, of which there are multiple players on the bench that can fill either of those positions. The 1B is even removed for a defensive replacement in the 9th inning!
Has anyone had any success getting the SIM to function like a half-decent NL manager?
