Positional Usage Salary Discrepancy Topic

Noob here. Was looking at the player usage chart to see who most playoff teams are using and to help find cookies to help with roster construction. There seems to be a salary discrepancy between whats shown their and when I go to draft my team. Example 1908 Addie Joss is shown as a 12M player and when I go to draft he's showing as 22M. I'm looking to play the 80M cap games.

I have no idea what you are looking at, but Joss hasn't been priced at 12M in 5 years...when the site did their short-lived experiment with dynamic pricing, Joss's salary shot up dramatically.

Searching for players isn't very difficult. You can ask the draft center to provide many stats at once. There is a ton of information in the SLB pinned threads regarding team building, as well as just about anything else you can imagine. We have recently covered much about pitching in these discussion threads.

That's what I'm using to get an idea on most owned players prob is salaries aren't matching up even though im using the most recent
92 b roberts on most owned is 4,397,784 as of 6/19 when I'm building a new team he costs 7,591,698 don't understand why the cost is changing for the same player

Yeah, that link is out of date with salaries. The most used players shot up a lot during the dynamic pricing period. You don't see many of them drafted for Open Leagues anymore.

That uses their base salary, most players salaries have changed from the base salary with dynamic pricing. The more a player was used, the higher their salary went. The base salary is displayed in the salary spreadsheets, as well. But, I definitely second utilizing the draft search tools. Most used doesn't always tell you much about how to win... the stats do more of that. Seeing most used might be useful for seeing what stats make for interesting player choices, but sometimes it just tells you the obvious.

You are looking at something that is not current.

The dynamic pricing feature was stopped without salaries being reset. Some are much more expensive than they had been previously.

So it says the file is through 6/19/20 are the ownership rates still correct or are those off also? Like is Roberts sill the most owned player even with the change to salary?

Best guess is that they never updated the player list after they started the dynamic pricing.

If you go back to Dec 2015 the players are the same - the list was never updated.

The player usage data doesn't look like it has been updated since dynamic pricing stopped. The stats seem to have been updated still, though.
