Do you guys adjust player positions, based on where you are actually going to use them that season? For instance if you have a guy that could play SS but you're going to use him in CF, or a guy who has the skills to play 3B but he's gonna play RF...do you officially update his position? Does their listed position matter for Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards...or is the position they actually play a majority of the time?

I will update their position only for their actual ratings (ie. If i draft a guy listed as a SS, but actually a 3b fielding wise, I'll update that), but that's the extent of how often I change. It does not matter for GG or SS as they take the position you actually played throughout the season. The only place I can think it might come in handy is if you're trying to compare stats for different positions. I believe if you sort by positions it will sort by listed position if that makes sense.

I will update positions more frequently in the minors to make sure my best prospects are playing. For example, if I have 2 really good SS around the same age at the same level- I will make one of them a 3B and one a SS so they both start. Then I'll move my best 3B to RF or something like that.
