Draft pick won't sign or decline Topic

My #1 pick likes my offer but hasn't signed. He was a "will probably sign if picked in the first five rounds" guy, and I got him #2 overall. I've offered a bunch of times, but 80 games or so later and I'm still in limbo. Best strategy for hooking this guy?

All you can do is offer him his demands and wait for him to sign. If he doesn't sign, keep the email that gets sent to your inbox because you can use it to keep the negotiating going.

Continuing to offer when he's still undecided won't help, though, right? Thanks.

Someone else confirm... 80 games later? Shouldn't happen. I think you're resetting his clock every time you make a fresh offer. You have to wait till he gives you a response on his own. Usually takes about five to seven days real time.

This sounds right. Stop making new offers. He'll sign.

Not positive on this, but it makes logical sense. I had another owner do the same thing with an Intl signing. The owner had the highest amount of prospect payroll so it was obvious that he was going to get the player, but he kept re-negotiating and it ended up taking forever to sign the guy.

Got it. Thanks for the advice.
