non qualifiers and 5th year Topic

Does anyone know if your 4th year non-qualifiers decide to stay at the beginning of their 4th year? It seems like this may be the case, but I haven't marked it down. I seem to remember having such a guy and that my scholly money/ap registered that he would not be returning for his 5th year. And his big board had him as "graduating." So you would know he is not coming back. Does that sound right? This would especially be important if the guy wasn't going to get drafted, right? If he just leaves at the end of the season, and you never had the chance to recoup the money and recruit.... Does this sound right?

2.7 cumulative GPA at the end of the 4th season.

You might be misremembering. I've never seen a 5th year senior listed as graduating in their 4th year

Yeah maybe, maybe it was a 4th year junior who I had credit for scholly money at the beginning of the season and hence knew he wasn't coming back for his 5th year. There was something like that. So 4th year ineligibles will get drafted if they don't come back? And they will let you know they are leaving early at the end of the season?

I think what happens for ineligible D1 recruits is that you get 0 AP and no money for their Senior (3rd) season. At the end of that season, if they didn't achieve a 2.7 cumulative GPA, they will transfer away at the end of the season (after the NCG is played). At that point, you will likely get only 10 AP and 1.5K recruiting cash (50% of normal) for RS2. In all my seasons, I've never had an ineligible not get to that 2.7 GPA but I guess if you don't invest into SH minutes in his first season and subsequent ones, then I guess that's on you.

If he's drafted in his senior (3rd) season, he's treated no differently than any other recruit on your roster (you'll get full AP/$$$ for RS2). Once he's a 5th year senior (4th season), he's graduating and treated no differently than a regular senior.
