I know if I cut a player I signed, I don't get any additional resources in the current period but do I get those resources in future seasons?

Signed a back up, followed by a much better player later in the recruiting period. I'd rather have the resources down the road, but if I get nothing for the next 3 seasons, I'd rather keep the player.

No it’s just for that recruiting session, and all depends what you do with the opening, if you sign another player then the scholarship is gone but if you don’t and get a walk-on, then yes you’d get resources next season
