gerryred - James, LeBron; Chandler, Tyson; Williams, Deron

Bron. he is a cheat code. Should go first everytime. Good job not overthinking it. Chandler is a very good pick here too. I “hate” the Deron Williams pick. PG has gotten so good with these last two seasons and would have loved to see you go a different direction here.

ysw128 - Chamberlain, Wilt; Vucevic, Nikola; Thompson, Klay

Famously, people skip on quality usage and rebounding after they get Wilt. Great job avoiding that. Klay here is *chef’s kiss*

thomcat - Curry, Steph; Olajuwon, Hakeem; Camby, Marcus

My concern with Hakeem is $$$, having said that, he is a pretty safe pick here. I also love Camby and think he is a great pick. Concern would be that a tandem of Camby and Hakeem don’t give you a paint scoring option.

redbooda - Bird Larry; Hardaway, Anfernee; Allen, Ray

Very early for Bird, but I’ve been around long enough to see much crazier. In a vacuum, I like these three players. We will see what is still around when you get a big.

amerk1180 - Jordan, Michael; Erving, Julius; Russell, Bill

Very expensive. You are zigging while others are zagging. Not an awful strategy as the 19-20 players arrive.

copernicus - O'neal, Shaquille; Drummond, Andre; Harrell, Montrezl

Someone already said it, dbkc maybe, but if Shaq is your least efficient scorer, people are going to notice.

bds9992 - Abdul-Jabbar, Kareem; Kidd, Jason; Marion, Shawn

tarheel1991 - Howard, Dwight; Simmons, Ben; Jokic, Nikola

This is an incredible start. You have one huge weakness right now and it is the easiest thing to solve. Could be a very scary team.

pennsylvania - Malone, Moses; Irving, Kyrie; Beal, Bradley

sixernuggets - Robinson, David; Nash, Steve; Reed, Willis

I have started to finally use The Admiral on this site on a different theme. I don’t quite understand why he seems to overperform my expectations, but he does. Some chatter about too early for Nash, but I say get the guy you want at that point. Willis Reed’s best attribute is availability. I think it is a bit early here.

dBKC - Antetokounmpo, Giannis; Walton, Bill; Billups, Chauncey

Some people may argue that Giannis and Walton together is not enough minutes, but I think it is a gamble that you will be very happy with. Billups here make sense and fits a need.

pharrop - Malone, Karl; Green, Draymond; Mutombo, Dikembe

...I like it. Feel like I need to wait to say too much more right now though. This is very good.

hoopsdude - Pippen, Scottie; McAdoo, Bob; Marshall, Donyell; Mourning, Alonzo

Donyell Marshall and Alonzo Mourning is a dream pairing. I have never figured out how to work successfully with Pippen or McAdoo.

jcred5 - Garnett, Kevin; Ginobilli, Manu; Kemp, Shawn

I like these three players a bunch. Very high ceiling and very low floor possibilities. I hope you have the eyewash thing in science classrooms and a fire extinguisher. These guys can be quite comboomable/combustible.

mptrey - Barkley, Charles; Towns, Karl Anthony; Bledsoe, Eric

This is a nice start. I feel like I would have messed that bledsoe pick up by going a different (wrong) direction. Excited to see what comes next.

midge - Gobert, Rudy; McHale, Kevin; George, Paul

Maybe I should have waited until the 4th round to start the evals. This looks very good. Very balanced, efficient scoring. A lot to like.

samuelyork92 - Paul, Chris; Leonard, Kawhi; Brand, Elton

I feel like Brand is failing out of favor in this league. These three give you some flexibility with founding out the roster.

benhoidal - Jordan, Deandre; Durant, Kevin

Curry and Giannis they are not, but Ben has more draft capital than I did. This is the favorite after three rounds, but, currently, the margin is narrow.

jackedjamie - Davis, Anthony; Lillard, Damian; Nance, Larry

I have a lot of sad memories of AD/Nance teams breaking my heart. They weren’t the problem, and they didn’t have Dame. Hoping this goes a lot better for you.

mikee1- Harden, James; Capela, Clint; Grant, Horace

Another *amazing* eval by me, haha. These guys are good.

uptowngbv - Rodman, Dennis; Johnson, Magic; Ewing, Patrick

You might get Ewing into the MVP race with this supporting cast. Ewing and his cast of irl losers were always embarrassing themselves, but this could make him a champion.

vancem - Stockton, John; Gilmore, Artis; Stoudemire, Amare

Stockton should be able to get these bigs rolling. Not too many teams will be able to guard both of them.

longtallbrad - Duncan, Tim; Wallace, Ben; Porter, Terry

LTB will be one of those teams that could give Vance, tarheel, ysw, etc. some trouble.

dh555 - Whiteside, Hassan; Wade, Dwyane; Payton, Gary

Doubling down with the high D, “low” efg backcourt. Payton is a guy that I think will continue to drop and find his way onto playoff teams in future seasons.

I am surprisingly swamped until Tuesday. I’ll be spending the majority of the morning on this then.

since JH is going through some tough times maybe we should (in addition to wishing him and his well) do our own self evaluations this time around - I think my first 4 picks were very safe but I took a left turn with Luka who is a whole stack of some things that are good but doesnt play a lick of defense and turns the ball over a bit (14.5 TOV% isn't actually that big a deal for a PG) and is going to suck my priorly stacked EFG corps down with his enormous usage

but hear me out, deal with Luka or deal with -3 interior defense, you can't have it both ways - that's my plan at least

needed Doug for any kind of perimeter D and Bogut is stout and rebounds building on a strength - still got 20 something minutes at the 3
