That's an encouraging sign, by the way. It might already be too late for an October Surprise with so much early voting. Trump probably doesn't have three weeks to turn it around; realistically it might be more like one.

Biden is leading by more than Clinton was. Even if the polls are off by the same amount as they were in 16, if Biden holds onto the lead he has now he'll still win pretty convincingly.

The 2016 national polling average had Clinton up around 3% at the time of the election. She ended up ahead about 2%. So the national polls were basically correct.

Yeah this is something I’ve been trying to explain to everyone from Bernie dead enders to Trumpists: the polls were right in 16. This isn’t the own they think it is and actually gives themselves away.
