How Do Vets Use Spring Training? Topic

Yo!

I'm curious how vets of this HBD thang use spring training. I'm guessing that these robots don't really need time to warm up and that the wise player tries to get promising prospects some ABs. Is that true?

I heard MikeT say that your veteran players should get 20-25 at bats and veteran pitchers should get 5 appearances to prevent them from having ratings drop. Don't know if its true or not but I always did it. Other then that, have your rookies that are under 4 years of pro that you want to see the most gain in have the most at bats and appearances.

Note that for pitchers its appearances and not innings pitched. Try to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible to maximize results.

Position players, this is the same also?
Get in the game in any way - PR/PH, etc.
No ABs

I would say so. Logically it makes sense. I find though it’s easier to get pitchers in and out then position players.

I play my ml guys first and get them 15-25 ab and 6-12 innings. Then rest them.
