Players pit you against yourself? Topic

N00b question...do players ever pit you against yourself, trying to get you to raise your offer when they really don't have a better one elsewhere?

I see the "paddle icons" where it says "1" if you're leading, and blank if you're not. But is there really someone else in the lead or is the system just gaming you? Don't know whether it's necessary to increase an offer.

Thanks for your help/advice!

Almost positive that there is no funny business. If you're leading, you get the 1 bubble, if you not leading, you get the blank bubble.

+1

It's a program. IMO programming defaults to simplicity. Don't imagine there's something complicated going on unless you see evidence.

no evidence...just curious...a lot of bidding for coaches and IFAs made me wonder.
