I hate waiver wire leagues Topic

It’s really horrible. Seldom use the ww but would like to use it in an open league for some pitching help but literally not any pitchers worth even the slightest consideration. Call me ******.

Was thinking about putting in my next A+ team - think I'll wait a couple weeks as dropping scrubs and picking up a good RP is pretty important to that team!

I agree as well. Maybe theme leagues and OL's should share separate WW? With an auto generated list if there's not enough leagues to refresh it

I've asked them to refresh today and three days ago. Got like a standard form letter reply back. The list was bad before the league started, and now it's just putrid. The list did update like 8 days ago. But all the leagues ate them up

Don’t see why they couldn’t have a separate WW for those leagues.
I put together a current team and left cash for wire adjustments. Hasn’t been a single player worth drafting for more than a week.

Those leagues are the worst...ruining it for new people who screw up their draft...

I got no response to my asking to refresh today. PLEASE, let's flood them with CS tickets on this. Every league.

WAH WAH!
Nothing wrong with WW leagues. What's wrong is the WW.
Why are the majority of players on the WW crap to begin with? Does anyone drop a good player to pick up a poorer one?
And there's no reason it couldn't be 10 times larger than what it is with a lot more GOOD players on it.
I agree with this. The problem is not WW leagues. It's the way the WW is set up.

Well as bad a you think WW leagues are, try being in one and trying to replace your pile of stink players. 140M league and only 90-100 erc pitchers available, if it's a lucky day. it is terrible WIS can't compensate for this. And don't kill the messenger. I've never been in one before, but what a waste of $12.95 as we need a decent WW just to build a "fair" team. Some can stay up day and night to snatch a rare good find. .Many can't. Good luck.

I very seldom if ever play in leagues that allow the WW including open leagues that allow owners to trade AAA players and then use the WW to gain an advantage over the other teams. Maybe they should ban open leagues too unless or until this is fixed.
That's 100% subjective though. Many AAA players in OL's are better than anything you'll find on the WW. I trade AAA for scrubs frequently, not so I can gain an advantage - but because I don't need a stud OF when I have stud OF's already - so for me it's more beneficial to trade my 2.5M hitter for a 200k scrub so that I can pick up another bullpen arm.

Just spit-balling here, but couldn't the tech support team insert into the waiver pool, a handful of fairly priced but random average players every week?

That way waivers would be constantly refreshed with decent new talent. Right now the Sim automatically grants each OL team a slate of AAA players, so couldn't a weekly waiver infusion be automated? Just an idea.

Ok...I'm the poster child for the mantra of "basically, you should never use the waiver wire." But even I occasionally will dump a player, either to manage fatigue or because I got a particularly good AAA draft and can use it to upgrade at some position.

Unfortunately, we currently have one of those godforsaken waiver wire leagues running somewhere on WIS...where every team starts with the same crappy roster and the objective is to rebuild your team through the WW. Which means every team in that league is dropping scrubs every day exactly at the moment the WW refreshes. Which would not be a problem, except that every active league in WIS shares the same waiver wire. So this ONE league is screwing over everyone else, every single day. Check the WW and you will see multiple versions of the same dreck, with nary a single remotely usable player in sight. And this will go on for weeks.

WW leagues should not be allowed in my opinion.

All I know is my league is 22 games in and the waiver wire SUCKS!! I use the waiver wire to bolster team needs, especially if my AAA is strong in some areas. It's an issue that needs to be fixed.

I totally agree, this is the worst waiver wire players I have ever seen, I made a trade for a AAA player plus I received a good amount of cash , now I am stuck with the money and the trade deadline is fast approaching. Who put all the scrubs on the wire?
