Yes please make Bill Russell 90 or 100 D every season. Makes no sense that his best defensive year is his last one.

Bill Laimbeer could use a defensive bump too but the main priority would be making Russell’s D higher than Harden’s for God’s sake.

I echo the above. I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone on this site that agrees with James Harden being a better defender than Bill Russell. Or in the world. Nobody believes that. The offensive board, turnover, steal, and block numbers are already fabricated; go ahead and fabricate the number everyone everywhere would agree with: Russell a 90+ Defensive rating every year (give him 100 his mvp seasons). You already adjust for all defense teams so it should be a matter of minutes at best.

Even better than the Harden comparison: George Gervin has an 83Def season. George Gervin having a good defensive season is, by itself, hilarious. But George Gervin having a season that is better defensively than all but one of Russell's seasons, and that one is virtually even with Gervin, is just sad. There is a sizeable amount of guys that don't have proper Def ratings, but if you guys can only find time to fix one, it's Russell.

I missed the Laimbeer comment before. Thought I was the only one who felt that way. Most players avoided driving the middle against Detroit because they feared what Laimbeer might do to them. That's gotta be worth something.
