More or less my thoughts. I cancelled my travel plans, wasn't sure if I was a doofus buying into FAKE NEWS

My wife and I are staying home.

EDIT: and our daughter, of course...

My family collectively decided not to travel for Thanksgiving. Then it later turned out that my sister had COVID.

There's a solid chance that our decision not to meet in person saved some lives in my family.

Not going anywhere for the holidays. Normally we would go to my sister-in-law's house down by San Diego, but not this year.

Jesus Christ. Yeah, I don't want to put my grandma at risk. You're a ****** person.

The survival rate is 99% for healthy, young people such as myself. For those 70+, it's around 5-10% mortality. Considering that there would be multiple elderly people at my family Thanksgiving, assuming that we all get it, there's around a 30-40% chance that someone dies.
