There's no benefit to having the player for half a season before he hits free agency, right? You need to have the free agent for multiple seasons before your team receives a bonus/priority when a free agent has multiple max offers?

I doubt the sim takes into account how long he was on your team just the fact that he was on your team last. No proof just what id view as common sense.

Developers have said that in order to get the benefit you have to have had the player for a certain period of time-- maybe 5 seasons, don't remember? But it's more than a half-season.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've read you get the home team advantage for a certain amount of seasons with the player, I just can't remember how many. I traded for a player midseason and was hoping I'd have a leg up on keeping him.
