I feel like we should be able to do this. What do you all think?

You can, after a number of good seasons. I think folks should be able to start at the bottom of the division they want, especially if they have reached that division in another world, if that’s what you mean.

I say one season is all you should need. I mean, why not?

If we are talking real life, you aren’t getting hired at D1 after a year at D3.

But maybe you can become an assistant first. Haha.

That would be a pretty cool addition to the game. Put in Sim assistant coaches with different scouting/recruiting advantages, practicing advantages, in-game strategizing advantages. Let us hire and fire assistants.

I like the progression of 2 seasons D3 but then maybe 3 seasons D2 and you can then qualify for D- or D prestige D1 jobs. Then you need to work your way into the next better jobs in D1. If you are a C prestige school though coming off a good season, no reason you shouldn't be able to qualify for another C school. Say you take a D- to C- in 2 seasons. Then a struggling power school drops to C-. You should be able to get a shot at that school, 87.34% of human coaches are better than SIM AI coaches. I'd also make the firing logic better, specifically if you go 6-7 seasons just struggling your *** off. You need to be able to have time to put your players in place and make changes. After that there is no reason someone should be chilling at a school for 15+ seasons just losing there face off.

Also if we bring up the argument that "they pay money to be fired," then just take the mechanic out of the game. "Job expectations" should just be removed if we aren't going to use it.

This was a cool aspect of the {very old} EA NCAA FB -- you could start out as the Spec Teams coach at the school of your choice, or you could start as OC or DC at a "crappier" job (I always seemed to start as OC at Idaho)

I like the idea of having to build a resume to qualify for better gigs. And I wonder if lower division populations stay stronger because that resume is required.
