It's totally standard for the very wealthy to have taxes audited for many years as the lawyers go back and forth.

That could be correct. However, the IRS has stated that not only is Trump not under audit, but being under audit does not prevent him from sharing his tax returns.

Is the measure of "wealth" whether (or not) you've been audited by the IRS?

I'm 67. I've worked since the pea-viner operator days (if not earlier)..........somewheres around 1967 or 68.
I have NEVER in all them years been audited by the IRS, even the 20 some odd years of self employment.

Must make me a poor businessman and a pauper.

I doubt you qualify as very wealthy for these purposes. How complicated are your taxes? When you own a variety of businesses and income-generating properties and buy and sell significant assets on a yearly basis the answer is very.

Yeah I know...........reality is a *****.
But then.........my life is simpler.

And I don't even have to worry much iff'n my zipper is open.
