Trading a player after the trade deadline... Topic

If a player passes through waivers after the trade deadline and gets dealt...does that same player have to pass through waivers a second time with his new team...if he were to be included in another post deadline deal? Asking for a friend (wink-wink)...

I think so, but that's a good question.

I have done a few immediate flips like that, but never after the deadline. Maybe I should ask the guy in one of my Worlds that just started his sixth season in the World and he has transacted 68 trades already. He might know.

I believe he would have to pass through waivers again to be dealt from the new team to another team.

Agree with Seventy_77: I believe a player's post-deadline waiver status resets when he changes teams.
