This is a tricky idea but I thought I'd run it by everyone.

We each start with $1,000. $52M cap. I'll run down the draft order of the most recent $52M league in a designated time slot, probably 6 or 7 Eastern to midnight. For five hours straight, I'll give each name ten minutes. Whoever bids the most at the end of ten minutes, or after I give three "calls" (i.e. going once, going twice, sold), gets that player.

All participants would have be on the forums at precisely 7 Eastern for about a week or more. Obviously, if you miss a day, it could greatly impact your roster. I'll likely start at 7:05 PM unless anyone has any objections. (5 hours - 5 minutes) / 10 minutes per player = 29 players per day. We'll likely go until everyone has seven players. 168 players / 29 players per day = 5 to 6 days. The rest of the roster would be undrafted.

If a player receives no bids after a minute or two, we'll move on. If you run out of money, you'll pick your remaining players from the undrafted pool.

Do not sign up if you cannot commit to consecutive nights watching the forum, whenever we agree to start. I'm not sure if this will fill but I wanted to see if it was possible.

Count me in.

Maybe go every other night as opposed to 5-6 straight nights, but either way I am in

I am interested, but this will be difficult to do logistically - people in MST and PST are at a severe disadvantage & setting aside 2-3 hours a nigh for 5 nights in row isn't realistic with jobs and families and life. Perhaps an idea would be to offer up the player, and everyone has a chance at one bid, and the highest bid wins that player?

If by site mail, that would take forever. No way to guarantee everyone has a shot at the player unless there are set times, and no way to get through 168 picks a few hours at a time.

I might have to Iimit to Eastern time zone.

I might be interested if the cap was lower. At $52m you basically don't have a budget, so the bidding is very like to play out the way a 52m draft would because you don't need to worry about the money. With maybe a 48-50m cap I think it would be more interesting.

I would be interested if we sitemail a list of say 10 players in the morning 10 in the evening everyone bids sends the list back with bids high bider wins player
repeat
kinda a spinoff of scattagories
