Greetings, Deadline for new IFAs passed and I'm left with $9mm. Last month of season there wasn't a single decent IFA. So, other than adding a bunch of scrubs from the IFA heap, is there anything at all to do with this cash? Move it to a different budget, but for what? Throw a blowout end-of-season party for the players and their families?

One option is to transfer Prospect money to your Player budget, which raises the cap for next year's Player's budget, if that is a concern.

This is a good idea. In 50 some seasons I had never thought of this.

Also can sign all scrub internationals to fill your lower minor league levels.

I never thought of this, either. That is a great idea.

am I wrong in thinking you could resign a pending free agent, putting a chunk of their extension into a signing bonus that comes out of current season's budget? and reducing the contract in the extended years?

the bonus doesn't count til next season...it's out of next season's budget.

been away from the game for a while. glad I got that clearified before my season got too deep.
