E. Texas Baptist - Marshall, TX (same town as Wiley College, which was featured in the Denzel Washington movie The Great Debaters)
Hardin-Simmons - Abilene, TX (Abilene Christian - a D2 on here but now a D1 and in the Big Dance this season irl - could be your next step from D3 to D2 without leaving the city)
McMurry - Abilene, TX (I scored 24 points and had 14 rebounds off the bench against McMurry when I was in college)
Schreiner - Kerrville, TX (town where Johnny Manziel went to high school)
Texas Lutheran - Sequin, TX (between San Antonio & Gonzales, TX, two major sites of the Texas Revolution - the Alamo in San Antonio, obviously, and Gonzales is where Santa Anna had given the town a cannon, and when he asked for the cannon to be returned leading up to the revolution the residents responded with "Come and Take It!" - which is why the flag with Come and Take It and a cannon was used in the revolution and is still popular in TX to this day)
