What setting do you usually use for fatigue?

the starting point is probably fairly fresh for everybody. running fb/man that is likely going to be the case most seasons, you are too high of a pace for getting tired to be more than an edge case - anything beyond that would definitely be out. you likely will want to use a pretty full depth chart, with at least 3 players and often 4 per spot.

despite being fairly fresh (FF) for most players, you still want to try to manage your rotation. the sort of base starting point is a straight 10 man rotation, 10 players occupying 1 spot each on the top 2 lines of the depth chart (still filling in lines 3 and 4 of course!). as a fb/man set, you are a little higher tempo than average, and a straight 10 man rotation is a reasonable choice and a solid starting point. fb/man is a bit of higher pace, so you have to stay mindful of depth as a priority, and that will accomplish it.

for other man or zone teams i think its important for coaches to quickly evolve beyond the 10 man rotation... to something that gets their best players - and often especially your best backups - more minutes. the poor minutes allocation is usually the downside of the straight 10 man rotation. with fb/man you are kind of an inbetween scheme, for a straight press (no fb) straight 10 men rotations are often perfectly appropriate, and the 11th and 12th players become more important. for you, you will still want to consider listing players at the 2nd spot at multiple positions, and other depth chart tactics, but you also will value depth beyond 10 players more than most man teams (depth beyond 10 is a nice to have for m2m / zone teams in general).

I prefer to run zone, I have ran man, and I never run press. With this in mind:

I almost always go for fairly fresh.

If I am lacking depth in a single position or don’t trust a single position backup, then I’ll switch the starter in that position to getting tired.

If I am lack depth across the board, or have a particularly useful backup that is best used in multiple positions, then I’ll set the talented backup(s) to getting tired. This strikes a nice balance between having fresh starters and utilizing a 6th man to his fullest.

I never touch the other settings except to rest injured players

Fairly fresh for everyone...in rare instances if I have a player who is head and shoulders better than the rest of the squad I'll move him to getting tired - but it's rare you have a player who at higher fatigue levels is that much better than having a fresh bench player on the court.

Kind of a side note - not sure how much fb/man you have ran in the past. From my experience, an ideal roster has 10-11 players. Usually the 11th man doesn't get too many minutes. I like to redshirt or take an ineligible/walk-on for the 12th spot - they will see sparing minutes. All of this assumes you are running at a normal pace and not uptempo
