We all have that guy that consistently has outplayed his ratings. And then the flip side, that guy never played nearly as well as his ratings suggested he should. So far, for me, this guy keeps defying my expectations. In 2 full seasons plus a partial 3rd, he's slashing .290/350 averaging 20+ HR&SB, has won 2 GGS, ROY, and 1 ASG. His batting average especially makes no sense, and I keep waiting for that regression, but it hasn't happened yet.

SP Albie Valenzuela was hot garbage for the first three seasons I had him despite 89/96/76/82/85 ratings at the time. Traded him after he had a decent 4th season and he went on to a much better career after. He's the reason for my irrational fear of acquiring southpaw pitchers.

I feel the southpaw curse for starters as well. Will Balboa always under performed for me. If you look at his numbers across the seasons they are super inconsistent for someone with those kind of ratings. For whatever reason I never get the same stats out of leftie starters.
