i had a recruit sit out due to eligibility issues. he's likely not going to see much pt this year but does have some potential to develop into a good role player. would like to redshirt him this year.

don't remember how that works. if you suggest a redshirt and he hates the concept can you undo the redshirt and undo the damage or will he still be po'd and potentially have a long-term WE decline?

You can’t redshirt players who have already missed a year of eligibility.

For other players, you can withdraw the redshirt if the WE drop is unacceptable to you.
