So I was just in two battles for two players, both from Lovington, New Mexico. Turns out, maybe unsurprisingly given the size of Lovington, they went to the same high school- Lovington HS. So this raised a couple questions:
1. They both have the same primary offense and primary defense which makes sense, but now I am curious if all high schools in the system have a predetermined primary offense and primary defense? Or does this change every recruiting period? Or does it alternate every 4 recruiting periods? What do we know about this relationship? Because it seems like there is potentially, if you have an advantage in a small local pool likely due to geographic isolation, to tailor your offense and defense to the sets that are played most locally.
2. If off/def are related, why did they have different amounts of HS games played? Does durability factor in here?
3. Just for fun, has anyone ever had high school teammates (as in same HS and class year) on their team? Notice any bonus from this?
