High School Off/Def Topic

So I was just in two battles for two players, both from Lovington, New Mexico. Turns out, maybe unsurprisingly given the size of Lovington, they went to the same high school- Lovington HS. So this raised a couple questions:

1. They both have the same primary offense and primary defense which makes sense, but now I am curious if all high schools in the system have a predetermined primary offense and primary defense? Or does this change every recruiting period? Or does it alternate every 4 recruiting periods? What do we know about this relationship? Because it seems like there is potentially, if you have an advantage in a small local pool likely due to geographic isolation, to tailor your offense and defense to the sets that are played most locally.

2. If off/def are related, why did they have different amounts of HS games played? Does durability factor in here?

3. Just for fun, has anyone ever had high school teammates (as in same HS and class year) on their team? Notice any bonus from this?

Here are the players for reference (I won the battle I should've lost and lost the battle I should've won):

1) yes, high schools have pre-set offense and defense. same with junior colleges. there is a document somewhere that has the scheme for like thousands of them. i personally don't really pay too much attention to that, but probably just because i'm lazy. i believe i've used it to look up jucos a bunch of times before i retired (and un-retired). after 5m of searching, i'm struggling to find the school mapping sheet, it is possible that was never a publicly shared thing.

2) no idea

3) no bonus

Especially when I played zone/press combo at D2 and D3, it was nice to know which Canadian HS played that combo (there is one in Winnipeg, if anyone is interested).

Definitely no bonus for #3 but I did have two kids from rival schools in the same city once on my team.
