I recently made a bid for an IFA with the remainder of my Prospect budget, with a plan of transferring budget for my next bid. The IFA signed with another team however. Does the game assume that I won’t transfer and that I’m not competitive at that point and eliminate me from consideration? The diff was about 3M at that point 22.5 (winning) to 19.5 (my current) Thanks!
People have debated what determines when FA's and IFA's sign for a while now. Generally, it seems to be a consensus of 1 to 2 options.
1) The player is going to sign on X date at Y cycle regardless of what is offered to them or if there is a bidding war.
2) The player will sign on X date if their is no bidding war but can be pushed back to Y date if their is a bidding war. The Y date is the drop dead date regardless of how the bidding goes.
The player you were bidding on was going to sign on that cycle regardless of what you did.
I'm also sure some owners have a third opinion on when IFA's and FA's sign (there is always another opinion). If anyone wants to post it or if I missed anything let me know.
