WADY LEAGUE HISTORY:

Unique opportunity to join one of the longest running progressives. The WADY (We Are’t Dead Yet) started in real time in 2004 with the 1969 season. Fast forward and we are now a progressive that has all caught up and plays 1 season at a time.

Our last season was 2019 and we lost several owners for various reasons during the pandemic, but as our league’s name states we aren’t dead yet!!

NEW OWNERS:

The league has 16 teams coming back for 2020. 2 owners have said they would take another if necessary so it may be 18 teams if we fall short. Several of our owners have been here since the beginning including myself.

We are looking for 6-8 owners to join us once a year to play each new season going forward. I also plan to run a hot stove Yahoo League made of each team to keep us communicating in the offseason and monitoring our teams also. No commitment to the Yahoo League is required though to play in this league.

DISPERSAL DRAFT:

Instead of listing 8 teams of varying talent what we are doing is. taking all players from the 8 teams and placing them into a dispersal draft if you will. The dispersal draft will be for only the 8 new owners. The list below shows there is plenty of talent to jump start your new franchise.

At the completion of the 8 new team dispersal draft we will hold the normal draft with all 24 teams participating with the pool of 2020 rookies and remaining free agents.

LEAGUE RULES:

The league is standard 24 teams with 8 playoff teams. No sim-generated AAA, but we will draft 12 (6 batters/6 pitchers) in 2020 to make sure each team has enough Pas/Ips in a shortened 2020 season.

We use the DH in the AL only except we will use the universal DH in 2020 just like in real life. Stadiums are all 2020 stadiums. Schedule incorporates interleague play.

AVAILABLE FRANCHISES:

AL: New York, Boston, Toronto, Baltimore, Cleveland, Kansas City, Minnesota, Seattle

NL: Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, Arizona, Los Angeles, Colorado, San Francisco

As you can see plenty of talent for the 8 teams to build a solid team immediately.
