Uptempo Flex Question Topic

In my first D2 recruiting class, I went after four PGs expecting them to be highly sought after & that I'd be lucky to get one or two of them. I got all four of them, and they just ended their soph season.

It gives me really good flexibility, since two are very strong scorers while the other two are very strong defenders. I will change my lineup some based on matchups (i.e. this season the top-10 team in my conference had great scorers 1-4, so I started the two strong defenders at PG & SG and brought the 2 scorers off the bench since they're both currently in the 40s for def).

But with BH & pass, I expect this to be my primary lineup:
Starting PG - current 85 BH & 78 pass; updated min max 95 BH & 93 pass
Starting SG - current 80 & 82; updated min max 85 & 97
Starting SF - current 67 & 70; min max 78 & 85
6th man - current 83 & 82; min max 91 & 90

Current/min max stamina for those four in the same order: 86/94 (starting PG's current/min max), 75/85, 78/86 & 87/95.

With those 4 at PG on the depth chart, and the starting PG & 6th man hopefully taking close to 100% of the PG minutes - plus pressing - it seems like I should fare well in an uptempo slugfest with almost every D2 team out there. Maybe the only exception would be an elite defensive team with enough depth & stamina to warrant normal or slowdown.

The question: Should uptempo be my default & should I use that in every game except vs teams that are strong in all three of def, depth & stamina?

IOW, I assume my BH & pass ratings are/will be strong enough to limit the negative TO impact of going uptempo plus with 4 strong PGs if both teams have foul trouble I should have better PG depth in almost every game. Just checking whether my assumption that my BH & pass strength are enough to offset the negatives of going uptempo in most of my games.
(I've also got a freshman PG with BH & pass min max of 85 & 76, and 5 other guys who I'd consider to have decent or better BH & pass for their positions - 3 SFs with 47 & 49 or better and 2 bigs with 36 & 39 or better)

Thanks!

Some things to consider when thinking about your tempo:
1. Do you have enough stamina/depth to pull it off?
2. Do you have better rebounding and/or ball skills (bh/pass)?
3. Do you have a better bench?

If you're running press, you'll need at least 11 players with an average stamina of 75 or so (I think 12 players with 80+ stamina is ideal). Although its been a little while I've run press so someone else could chime in if I'm wrong.

Uptempo is going to lead to more possessions so who's going to win those extra possessions? Can you take advantage of them? This is where rebounding and ball skills come into play (rebounds and turnovers).

Running faster pace is going to tire your starters and your bench will get more minutes. It will also have an affect on the opposing team's players (although not as strongly as your own). Can your bench players gain an advantage of the opposing bench players?

From what you've detailed, it would seem like uptempo should definitely be an option on most nights. Even if you're at a slight rebounding disadvantage, your strong ball skills should win you the possession battle. Stamina seems fine on those guards but I don't know what the rest of your roster looks like.
