It sucks (and is horrible for the game) that the recovery from a major injury is predicated to the time of the season that it happens.
Does that mean that Ronald Acuna Jr. for the Atlanta Braves may or may not fully recover from his ACL injury? It is only based on the fact that his rehab goes into next season and if he is put on the DL at the beginning of next season?

This players injury happened after 29 games and was for 200+ games. Because he will recover in the offseason, he will only get 1 Recovery. He is only 26 years old.
1. Why don't players get Recovery during the season at the same rate that players get normal bumps? Players do recover over time, not just at the end of their DL stint.
2. If his injury had happened in the last 70 games or so, he would have been still injured at the beginning of the following season and had a chance for a full recovery. Maybe even get better than he was.
3. Kevin Kopps was a 3rd round pick in this years MLB draft. He was the Golden Spikes winner as the best college player. He had Tommy Johns surgery in 2018. Prospects shouldn't have their future development stunted or cut because they had a major injury. A lot of them now days still reach their potential. Some young pitchers are even opting for Tommy Johns when they don't truly need it because it actually makes them stronger. Too often I see prospects in Hardball Dynasty never get close to their development because they don't get the proper amount of recovery bumps during rehab.
With medical/science development now days, most players do recover properly/fully.
And yes, I do run a high Medical and Training...................
