I am considering return to HBD after (what I think is) about 6 years. I think there was at least 1 major update in that time to how scouting works. A couple of questions

1) Any good links to a thread about that update and what was the change to the generally accepted strategy(ies) because of it?
2) Were there any other major changes I should be aware of?

To answer your questions:

1) The update made scouting slightly fuzzier, with the thinking being that it would give vets less of an advantage over new players so that there would be fewer lopsided trades etc. although the old methods of projecting player development is still pretty accurate rather than exactly accurate

2) There are changes being made every month or so now, with the August ones probably coming up shortly, so I'd just keep an eye on the forums and you'll be fine.

3) If you are looking for a world to join, we'd be happy to have you in either Around The Horn or FYC (both of which are worlds that I commish.)
