I have a player that I brought up at the end of last season. He played in 7 games in the regular season but was up for 17 or 18 + 5 playoff games (in which he didn't play). I sent him back to AAA after my season ended. His ML service time is 0.010. How many games should I sit him this season if I want to retain that extra arb year?

However many HBD days he was up for in the regular season, plus 20 more HBD days after the beginning of the minor league season.

I think that's right-- but I'm not sure why his service time is 0.010 and not 0.017, so I suppose it might be just 30 minor league HBD days.

Thanks. I forgot that the 0.010 indicates 10 days up. Stupid me. I didn’t have him up as long as I thought.
