Want to rest a named starting pitcher, instead of going in the next game. Possible?

Not naming starters for Game 1 of playoff series’ is just whack, btw, when regular season makes you name and seemingly holds you to the next starter in the sequence. Anyway, thanks!

You can't. Only thing you can do is move him to a reliever and set the pitch count to the minimum allowed. Of course, that won't help you if you want him to go in the next game. Postseason has always defaulted to whoever is in the No. 1 slot for Game 1 of each round since I have been playing.

I knew how to set the playoff starter. More commenting on inability to see who is starting against you.

I believe you can just designate without waivers, then add him right back to kick him out of the next start slot. But if you do this in the playoffs he's removed from the playoff roster until that round is over and you put him back on.

I think now you can kinda cheat the system. Set them to SP1 and have them as the only pitcher in the rotation. Then set them to 20 TPC / 20 MPC and a pull rating of 5. I think that will get them out and have them start the next game? I think?
