You need a place to start... what kind of team are you building? Can you live with allowing some home runs? Are you drafting a lot of range and you can live with higher OAVs? Since there's no AAA you probably want to make use of most of your 25 roster spots, so figure out what balance of SP/RP works. I find that if I have 5 SPs I always end up shuffling one to the 'pen so I am always running a 4-man with a lot of manual moves. Maybe that's OK. But a 3 or 4 man is likely to be more set it and forget it. Remember that your last guy probably won't pitch in the playoffs so he won't need to be quite as good, but don't make him crap either.

Then look at some players and compare their $/IP and see who looks way cheaper than everyone around him. Set HR/9+ to 150, AVG# to under .240, BB9# to under 3, whatever you like and see who stands out.

Lots of 2017-2021 pitchers are good values since they never went through dynamic pricing. But they'll be more HR prone.

Personally I don't like paying for Ks, but if you do, they'll be able to throw more innings.

JF is right, look for value.

Regardless of the salary cap, have a budget in mind. For a standard $80M league, 1,300 innings x $30k/IP= $39M. You will have to decide if you go above or below that cost per inning. It just basically determines if you want lower or higher scoring games. Stingier pitching and less productive bats, or the opposite. Both can work. Draft pitchers who fit the park, regarding HR/9. Great gloves are a big help to marginal pitching, FWIW...

Total innings is more important than the size of your rotation. If you have a lower ining guy in there just set his skip rating to 99 and he'll be skipped over when he's not rested. Or you could manually make changes whenever you check in on your team.

2021 Corbin Burnes.....2021 Brandon Woodruff....2021 Freddy Peralta.....hell pretty much just load the 2021 Brewers pitching staff and bullpen and in the right park theyll win a lot of games......Corbin has the best sim stats though.....in an 80 cap open league through 8 starts he has a ton of strikeouts and an ERA of 0.69

Another quick question......2020 Freddie Freeman hits a ton in the sim but i havent drafted him in a league yet......how do 2020 players hold up, fatigue wise, due to the corona shortened season?

We've just had a stretch of people having two accounts, being in the same league, and claiming that one of them was a "friend or family member." There's probably nothing wrong with having two - especially for spring league usage - but others have have fallen to the temptation to try to rig a league with alternate id's. I just thought it was important to make sure that those reading the posts knew it was likely the same person.
