Asking for "a friend"... this moron "friend" of mine accidentally arb'd a Hall of Fame hitter a 3rd time and now he won't re-sign (duh). Remind me-- what's the likelihood he'll re-sign with a new franchise if I-- I mean, "my friend"-- trades him?

Pretty good. Because its a new franchise the hitter will probably resign long term.

I've seen it happen more than it doesn't happen. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say about 80 percent of times I've seen thus situation, the player signs long term with the new franchise.

I’ve seen both. 80% chance of player signing with the new team seems high. Unless the offer 10-20% over demands.
