Underperforming/Neglected Teams Topic

What method does the game have of dealing with teams that have just become literal dumpsters for whatever reason? Pure mismanagement/no stable owner, any number of reasons. I'd be interested in getting into the game, I was around for a few seasons on initial launch and have been away awhile but have no desire to take on a complete rebuild. It feels like teams could just become farming grounds for "veteran" owners.

The most valuable asset a league can have is a strong group of owners that are willing to veto trades not in the best interest of the league IMO. Barring that finding an owner interested in trying a rebuild could work especially if it is only one team in the league. If a commissioner or the league is willing to incentivize the right owner with a free season or two that could help get the team back on track and raise the quality of the league as a whole. Otherwise private worlds at least have some measure of anti tanking rules or trade restrictions that can limit some of the issues.

Ahhh gotcha, I hadn't thought of being comp'd seasons to put in the effort. That actually makes a ton of sense. Thanks. And yes. Interested owners has always been key to a good time with this game imo.

The commissioner is everything to a world, that person sets the tone and is tasked with the thankless job of keeping order of 31 people that are invisible voices on the net. Yes, the commish gets a small discount for his effort but in my opinion it is little reward for the job to be done. Find a world with a strong commish, a MWR, and active owners that help police the others to act in a manner that strengthens a world. The game itself has been taken over by a new group that has made many promises, however at the moment it is still in transition as they try to back those promises. It's a fun game when it's working right, hopefully they return it to it's former glory soon.
