As the title suggests, I'm wondering when ML salaries become guaranteed. Say, for example, that I have someone who will have 1-2 years of ML experience after rollover. At what point am I responsible for his $327k salary? If I cut him before rollover, he's not my problem, but is there a time after rollover but before the start of the season (e.g., before arb even if he's not eligible, spring training, regular season) that I can cut him and not be responsible for his salary?
