RULES OF THE PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE

------------1946/1969 Rookie Progressive League------------

INITIAL DRAFT:

The initial draft will be 31 rounds of snake style draft. Stadium/Franchise must be selected some where during the draft. So the Draft will be a Total of 31 Rounds for 30 Players and your 1 Baseball Franchise & Stadium. The 30 Players will be your 25 Major League Team + 5 Minor League Players. NO AAA Computer Generated Players may NEVER Be Used, EVER, They are for Trade Fillers Only. EXAMPLE : You Trade a Player for a DRAFT PICK. Then allows The Wiz to Put the Trade Through. (Draft Order will be determined by random.org). The player database available for the draft will be all players (WIS) available in 1946 & 1969 and players that RETIRED in 1946 and 1969. Each owner will have 30 minutes to make there pick, before the next owner will be up to Pick. Clones will be allowed to be Drafted again, as they Re-Appear in Future Drafts Only 1 owner per each player will be allowed, Until One Player does Reappear again, when there Rookie Years come up a 2nd time.
Example : Willie Mays... He starts the League from the 1969 Data base. But when the 1946 Data Base reaches 1951. Willie Mays will reappear as a Rookie and can Be redrafted again as a Rookie. But the Owner that Drafted Willie Mays in the 1969 Draft will Continue to use Mays by advancing to his 5th year of Play. It will be causing a CLONES to be used and also using two different years of Play.

TWIST:

What makes this league any different from every other progressive? We will draft our 30 Man Rosters, But all Players will Revert Back to There Rookie Seasons. 25 Players for your Majors and 5 Players will be Drafted to your Minors.This is your Team coming from the 1946/1969 WIS Database However All & Each Player will Begin their Careers from their ROOKIE season (hence the name of the league) In case you need further clarification...Bob Gibson will revert back to 1959, Willie Mays starts back in1951...Ted Williams starts back in 1939... Warren Spahn starts back in 1946.. ETC... There will be a 4 Team Lottery Starting in 1947/70 for the Worst 4 Teams in the League. But a 35 Game Win Window must be Won By the 120th Game of the Season. To Be Eligible for any Lottery in any Season of Play.


FUTURE DRAFTS:
Future drafts will be both straight forward. Our season 2 draft will consist 1947 & 1970 Rookies and any Players that were Cut or Not Drafted the Previous Year. Rosters will Consist of 30 Players that each Owner's Drafts. But when Keepers are Posted, If a Player is Drafted that was Cut. He will play the Season under what ever season he was cut in. Example : If he was playing in 1950/1973, that was his 4th Season, then he can be Redrafted for the 1950/1973 Season, Progressing 1 year with the League. If that Player fails to be drafted that Year, He will be Eliminated from the League's Future Drafts only if he has NO Wiz time left in his Career. So if we were in the 1974 Season, He could only be drafted for the 1974 Season Only. When we are in Season #3, Willie Mays would be in his 3rd Season's of Play and advances accordingly. Season 3 will be 1949 & 1972 Rookies and so on.

Player Eligiblity for all Drafts :
If a Player is NOT Listed for the Current Season's Draft Avaibilites list by the Commissioner, Then he will Not be Eligible to be Drafted until the following Year. Example : Jackie Robinson 1947 Rookie Season was Omitted from the Players Draft List, Yet was in the Wiz Players Eligibility List, he could be Drafted in 1947, He will Not be Eligible to be Drafted until the 1948 Season (Following Year). Sorry, Mistakes Do Happen and Exceptions will not be made in this Instance. Only Players on the Avaibilites Player List are allowed to be Drafted Each Year - NO Exceptions! YES, CLONES will be allowed to be Drafted again a 2nd time, as they Reappear in the data Base thru the Wiz Only..

On a Personal Note...

I Had to Leave the Wiz from some Health Problems...
I've Overcome most of them now and Hope People will Remember how Fun my True Rookie League was...
I have Major Left Knee Replacement Surgery, Eye Cataracts Surgery...
I Had Cancer on my Neck, But that came back Minin (Non Cancer)...
So, when I left the Wiz, I might have been Grouchy... Please Forgive Me...
