What are the repercussions of rescinding a scholarship of a player you signed?

Little to none. Don't worry about cutting your own players here and there. Now if you're planning on cutting 5+ players within 2-3 seasons, you might take a very small hit to your reputation, but it won't make a huge difference. I cut my own players all the time.

yeah, don't cut 4 guys the season before a big job change, your reputational going to A- or below can start to impact job eligibility. or something. i remember the ivy league schools are like 1 grade above the rest or something weird like that. but i can't remember if like, an A- can keep you out of a BCS school, with A keeping you out of ivy.. or if its A- for ivy, B+ for everyone else.

anyway. essentially there is no reason not to cut your own players, if you are sure you are going to stay for a couple seasons (or longer). and you can at least cut 1 and job hop immediately, probably 2?

There used to be a very small chance other players could get upset and decide to transfer. Not sure if that still happens though.
