Trying to decide if I should start (to grow his WE), Redshirt him as a sophomore, or just have him as a backup. I would definitely have to bench a better player to get him starts, just not sure with his 42 WE if it would hurt more than help. Plus if I redshirt him it only gives me one Soph on my roster.

I’d keep him on depth chart as 3rd guard in pg, sg, and sf slots, and get him starts against anyone you’re confident against. I wouldn’t give him starts in close games, but you can get away with starting him against most sims and weak humans, and using one of the upperclassman as a super-sub, coming in at multiple guard positions, still getting 17+ m/g. I would not redshirt him unless you know his WE won’t plummet - it probably will, then you’ve completely lost the plot.
