Its unfortunate. They will very rarely pitch. Its a shame. I would have loved to have had specialists as another tool to use in the game.

Agreed. I picked up a really cheap lefty with good splits hoping to get 20 good innings against lefties and Sparky never utilized them.

Yeah I tried LHSP with one guy, but he would never be put in. Whenever I tried putting him in SubB just so he'd hopefully get some playtime, he'd get lit up (he had 80s control, 70s VsL, 90s velo but only 40s-50s VsR). I ultimately gave up on him because I could never get him to slot in correctly, which was too bad.

You kinda have to 'force' the guy to be a specialist with the one you listed. Its not a perfect plan which is a shame, but if you set the guy you mentioned to SuB with a pull rating of 5 and 5 MPC 5 TPC in theory he should face one batter, which even more in theory should be a left handed batter.
