PLACE OF BIRTH DRAFT

This is a theme proposed by GreasyTony about 3 years ago. I believe we were up to 21 owners before we stalled out. Seems like a good time to give it another shot. Here's how it works...

The draft will consist of 2 rounds.
1st Round: select a state/region
2nd Round: select one player born outside the U.S.

There will be a random drawing for 1st round draft order. Trading draft positions is allowed. The 2nd round will be the reverse order of the 1st. So, if you draft 24th in the first round, you get to pick 1st in the 2nd round. You may have one of the weaker states/regions, but now you get to add a great player (Giannis, Jokic, Olajuwon, Doncic, Duncan, Gobert, etc...) to your roster.

I've divided the U.S. into 26 different states/regions (see below) and included a list of players for each state/region to get an idea of who's available. This is an incomplete list and you can build your roster with any player born in the state/region. See the link below for the complete list. Every owner will have a state/region + 1 player born outside the United States.

We are going to separate California and New York into separate conferences. There will be a team using only Eastern Conference seasons of players, and one using only Western Conference players for each of these states. For example, if you choose New York Western Conference, Chris Mullin's Golden State seasons would be available to you but not his Indiana seasons. If you choose California Eastern Conf, you can use Kawhi's lone Toronto season. If you choose California Western Conf, you can use any of Kawhi's San Antonio seasons or LA Clippers seasons.

Division placement will be random.
Owners can have more than 1 team.
