Error in RL Player Stats? Topic

It looks like they messed up with 1914 Elmer Brown. His OAV is listed at .402 but he gave up 33 hits in 36.2 RL innings. His WHIP appears to be correct at 1.53. Does anyone know how this would affect him being used in a league? He seems like he may be a bargain mopup type guy, but I'm not sure if that OAV is going to totally ruin him.

The SIM will use his .402 OAV, so it's no bargain. It's probably a mistake, if it gets fixed his price will probably go up a bit. His league average OAV is .485 according to Performance History, so don't expect much from him as is...

According to b-r.com Elmer faced 120 batters. He hit seven and walked 23. Same numbers as WIS has.
33 hits allowed out of the remaining 90 batters faced is still a .366 OAV if every plate appearance was an AB.
Any sac hits or errors reduce the AB accordingly, and that .402 OAV may be correct after all.
