The Rules

* · Serpentine draft. 1 player per round in rounds 1-5, 2 players in round 6.


Draft Order

The returning GMs that did not make the playoffs will be in a NBA-style draft lottery. The other returning GMs will then be placed behind them in order of playoff finish(with regular season record the tiebreaker). New GMs will be placed behind them in order of who joined first.

GMs will have the option to request their spot in the draft order by indicating closer to 1/24/ when they sign up. You may change your choice up until the final draft order is set. GMs that did not indicate where they want to draft will be given whatever spots are left.

If you choose closer to 24 you will not be in the draft lottery. For the draft lottery, the commissioner will break ties (for the ping pong balls) by random.org. If the Commissioner's team is involved Commissioner will take the worse draft pick.

24 hour draft rule in Round 1. Commissioner will pick a player if a GM does not draft in 24 hours so the draft can proceed (No skips). After Round 1 players may be skipped but the Commissioner has discretion in selecting a player for the team.

Two for one or three for one or whatever you like trades are allowed.


Divisions

Divisions will NOT be random. They will be drafted by the division winners from last season. The division draft will take place immediately after the player draft ends, while we wait for the league to fill.

Even though we haven't started the playoffs yet for Season #77, I would like to get this season going as soon as possible. I have cancer and in a few weeks I will be starting daily treatments. If we can get through the draft before that starts I will have more time to devote to the draft. I have prostate cancer, so I should be okay, but it will take up a lot of my time.
