According to the World schedule, the rule 5 draft happens on Wednesday, 12/14/2022 AM - Wednesday, 12/14/2022 PM2. But what does that mean exactly? What happens between the AM and PM2? When will I be able to see the player pool?

Is there a forum post that helps new users learn things like this? Or something in the FAQ? Player's Guide? Help Manual?

You won't be able to do much of anything unless it is related to setting your draft board for the Rule 5. It is basically a rest day. The player pool becomes available when the AM1 cycle rolls around, I believe. The Rule 5 draft won't take place until the PM2 Cycle Part 2. One thing you can do is set your team up for spring training as that starts the following AM cycle.

My suggestion is to scour the forums for what some of the veteran owners like to do in the Rule 5 draft. Generally, there isn't a great deal of talent there, but you can find a gem or two or something to fill a need. I tend to use the Rule 5 to find a backup catcher for my major-league team. I do take a look to see if there is anything else I like in those players unprotected. One note: You will see all players available for the Rule 5 except ones from your franchise (since you can't draft your own players). Reading the things you mentioned is always good. You might be able to glean a little knowledge from there. But reading the forums will give you more insight.

Every once in a while you may hit on someone like Player Profile: Pete Celestino - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports, but for the most part you're looking for depth. A b/u catcher, a defensive whiz, a strictly platoon player. Or a RP you'll find once in a while. If your team is rebuilding you can afford to add a younger guy for a season that may develop.

You can end up with some really good players so do your homework. I have ended up with all stars/ down ballot mvp vote types from the R5
