Newly signed IFA not eligible for spring training? Topic

Just signed a very high end IFA in ichiro, and since we are still spring training I wanted to get him the extra reps. He shows up on my spring training squad in manager settings, but isn't there when I go to manage lineup.

First, make sure you are not already over the 70 player limit. Then just re-optimize your line-ups, rest replacements, defensive replacements, and pinch hitters.

Did you add him to the roster? Is there already 70 players on the spring training roster? Not sure why, but a couple of thoughts in case a step was missed

He only shows up on the spring training squads screen. Not on PH/Def reps/resrlt hierarchy

Maybe make sure all his boxes are ticked in "Edit Player Settings?" I think when you get a new player these settings are all whited out.

That's the thing, he does not show up in edit player settings, line up, pinch-hitting, rest, or defensive replacements. However he does show up as being on the spring training squad on that page. Really weird.

I'm totally guessing here: You added him with a ST Invite on his contract so he would have been automatically put on the ST roster. Maybe try taking him off the ST roster (you can do that even if he had an invite), then put him back on again? He won't go away, he's already been assigned to your LoA team.

You were correct I did add him with a spring training invite and removing him and adding him back on did the trick, thanks!

Haha lucky guess. All I can say is, sometimes in the transactions a player ends up in a weird spot where the system can't "see" him. Glad it worked!
