Big RS2 Update - No More New Coach Penalty Topic

Well the penalty (in terms of AP) is still there, but the concept of a new coach not being able to come in and do *anything* for a recruit that has had visits done in the first session is finally gone.

From the posted update:
  • HD - Issue in RS 2 where limits are not reset for prior actions on a recruit (HV, CV). If you take over a new team during the season prior to recruiting period 2, any prior home visits or campus visits sent to a recruit are cleared and you are able to fully recruit the player.
This is huge news, and many of us have been waiting for this for 6 years. This will also have a big impact on how RS2 works for job changes.

new coach penalty will only apply to attention points, then? if visits are cleared?

I was thinking 75%, IIRC. I thought it was written down somewhere, but I don't remember where at the moment.

That's a a great question. I honestly just thought it was the equivalent of pulling their scholarship where they basically wouldn't sign with you no matter what.

Think this is nice QOL change. Why not be able to go after a recruit just because the last coach put in 20 HV/1 CV?

In regards to the roadmap post itself, I'm glad they mentioned trying to complete 1-2 week updates for small things. I hate being the negative one but the kinda obvious question is - how long does this last for? It's nice they aren't forgetting about HD entirely after they kinda mentioned putting all updates on hold... but is this like a 1 month thing or a long-term focus?

What a poorly run organization. I just noticed the update post from last year where they beg for sympathy on lack of speed and quantity of updates that stem from issues elsewhere in the company and having to move the devs to help with those problems. As someone who runs a business, you're charging money for a product. I really don't want to hear about your problems and be given excuses, I want some form of quality product for the good money that we pay. Maybe that's too harsh on my part, but I grow increasingly weary of the lack of quality updates and improvements to this game.

i, for one, don't mind a slow roll of updates though there are certainly some updates i'm in favor of
