The best pitchers of all time thread had me thinking about guys that could have been HoFers but were held back for whatever reason - injuries, low dur/sta, owner mismanagement, etc.
Jed could have been an all time great with his

but his 66 DUR meant that most seasons he couldn't even meet the min PA for awards. Still got 500 dingers despite only 6500 ABs.
Hector could have been an all time great but his 54 health rating combined with a $0 med budget means I only play him about half the time (at DH). Despite his 0 VLHP I think he still has something like an .850 career OPS vs lefties. His excellent base stealing is also being wasted on my club since I don't run at all.
Graham. Never had him on my team but he is the best ditr I've ever seen, getting the coveted double ditr. Obviously not making the HoF with a 25 DUR but ~89 hitter ratings across the board is ridiculous. Only an .800 postseason OPS surprisingly (small sample though).
Wascar. Gonna cheat with him since he did make it into the HoF but he' a good example of a guy that can get looked over in HoF voting if no one is paying close enough attention since they never list the correct positions. Best true SS with elite def I've ever had despite his 25 vsL rating. An .850 career OPS with 7 gold gloves and 7 silver sluggers at SS to go with 12 All-star games. Could have been an all time top5 player in his world with a higher vsL.
